Kangana And Diljit Twitter

Bollywood stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut got into a war of words over the Panga actor’s tweet about a Punjabi woman involved in the farmers’ protest. As their fight got ugly on social media, many from the industry including Mika Singh, Swara Bhasker, Gippy Grewal, Ranjeet Bawa and Ammy Virk supported Dosanjh. Actor Kangana Ranaut was recently in news for her latest Twitter fiasco in which she shared a tweet misidentifying an elderly Sikh woman who has been a part of the farmer’s protest as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh. She falsely accused the elderly woman of joining the protest for the price of 100. The actress deleted her tweet soon but it was too late and several stars like Prince Narula. 'Panga' actress Kangana Ranaut found herself in the eye of yet-another storm this week over a tweet which seemed to have hit a wrong note with the netizens. And this time she was critiqued on Twitter by singer Diljit Dosanjh who has been actively supporting the farmers' protests in the national capital.

Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut's Twitter spat became the talk of the own.

Whether it is the ongoing farmers' protest or the nepotism debate after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Kangana Ranaut always has an opinion on everything. However, one of her misinformed tweet about an elderly Sikh woman led to a Twitter war between her and singer-turned-actor Diljit Dosanjh. What followed was a barrage of tweets from both ends.

HOW IT STARTED

It started with Kangana sharing false information about an elderly Sikh woman, who was the participant of the ongoing Farmers' Protest. In her tweet, she said that the elderly woman was protesting to earn a sum of Rs 100. The actress also claimed that the same woman was the Shaheen Bagh Dadi, Bilkis Bano.

WHEN DILJIT TRIED TO CORRECT KANGANA

Though Kangana later deleted the tweet, it had already angered many celebrities, including Diljit Dosanjh, who has unabashedly supported the farmers' protest. Diljit took it upon himself to correct Kangana, which lead to a major Twitter spat between the two.

Diljit shared a video of the elderly Sikh woman to clear Kangana's doubt. He wrote, 'Respected Mahinder Kaur Ji. Ah Sunn La Ni With Proof @KanganaTeam. Banda Ena V Ni Anna Hona Chaida..Kush v Boli Turi jandi aa .. (Listen to this Kangana, with proof. A person should not be this blind. She (Kangana) keeps on saying anything) (sic).'

KANGANA CALLED DILJIT 'KARAN JOHAR'S PALTU'

Miffed with Diljit's response, Kangana hit back calling him, 'Karan Johar ke paltu.' She wrote, 'Ooo Karan Johar ke paltu, jo dadi Saheen Baag mein apni citizenship keliye protest kar rahi thi wohi Bilkis Bano dadi ji Farmers ke MSP ke liye bhi protest karti hue dikhi. Mahinder Kaur ji ko toh main janti bhi nahin. Kya drama chalaya hai tum logon ne? Stop this right now. (Oh Karan Johar's pet. The dadi who was protesting at Shaheen Bagh for citizenship, that same Bilkis Bano dadi ji was also seen protesting for farmers. I don't know who is Mahinder Kaur Ji. What is this drama?) (sic).'

After Kangana's remark, Diljit wrote that she doesn't have the manners to talk to someone's mother or sister. He also wrote that she has now stirred up a hornet's nest. After Diljit Dosanjh's tweet, Kangana tried to explain her stance, saying that she was only making a comment on Shaheen Baag dadi. She wrote, 'I had only commented on Shaheen Baag dadi cos they instigated riots there even that tweet was deleted almost immediately, I don't know from where they brought another elderly lady in to the picture and now endlessly spreading lies.Vultures trying to instigate mob against a woman (sic).'

Diljit Dosanjh, however, was in no mood to give up. He replied saying that Kangana can't threaten him. He wrote, 'Dheley Di Akal Ni Tainu.. Sadian Maava Nu Tu 100rs Wali Das dian.. KANGANA DRAGS PRIYANKA CHOPRA IN TWITTER WAR

The heated conversation between Kangana and Diljit ended on December 3. But on December 11, Kangana again tweeted targeting Diljit, along with Priyanka Chopra this time, for lending their support to farmers. She wrote, 'People like @diljitdosanjh and @priyankachopra will be hailed by the left media for misleading and encouraging farmers protests, pro Islamists and anti India film industry and brands will flood them with offers and English/living in colonial hangover media houses will (sic).'

She went on to say, 'Dear @diljitdosanjh @priyankachopra If you are seriously worried about the farmers, if you really respect your mothers, then at least listen to what is the Farm Bill? Or do you want to use your mothers, sisters and farmers to get into the good books of the traitors?'

In one tweet, Kangana even claimed that the protest resulted in a cumulative loss of Rs 70,000 crore. She wrote, 'Cost of farmers protests so far 70,000 crores, because of dharna economic slowdown in neighbouring industries and small factories, might lead to riots, @diljitdosanjh and @priyankachopra you understand our actions have serious consequences please tell me who will pay for this?'

Actors Diljit Dosanjh and Kangana Ranaut were embroiled in a bitter war of words over the farmers' protest on Thursday, a Twitter spat that began with Shaheen Bagh protester Bilkis Bano but soon spilled over to name calling, Punjabi identity, the Delhi riots and even some muscle flexing over the mother figure.

The two, one a celebrity singer-actor from Punjab and the other a Bollywood star known for her combative comments, began bickering on the social media platform on Wednesday evening and continued till well into Thursday.

Earlier this week, Ranaut misidentified a woman farmer from Punjab as Bilkis Bano, the octogenarian who made international headlines during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests earlier this year in the Delhi neighbourhood of Shaheen Bagh.

She shared a tweet alleging that the 'Shaheen Bagh dadi' also joined the farmers' agitation over the new agri laws at various border points of the national capital.

She retweeted the post with pictures of two elderly women, including Bilkis Bano, and wrote that the 'same Dadi' who featured in Time Magazine was 'available in 100 rupees'.

When Twitter users pointed out that both the women were different, Ranaut reportedly deleted her tweet.

The floodgates opened after that.

Dosanjh shared a BBC interview of the woman who Ranaut had wrongly identified as Bilkis Bano and tweeted on Wednesday that her name is Mahinder Kaur.

'Listen to this with proof, Kangana. One shouldn't be so blind... You are saying just about anything,' the actor, who hails from Dosanjh Kalan village near Jalandhar, Punjab, said in Romanised Punjabi.

As the protest by farmers, mostly from Punjab and Haryana, gathered momentum, he found support from fellow Punjabi star singers Ranjit Bawa and Himanshi Khurana.

In the vitriolic exchange that followed, Ranaut called Dosanjh filmmaker Karan Johar's 'pet', a “bootlicker” and asked if he wasn't ashamed of defending somebody who “instigated” the Delhi riots earlier this year. She also said her comments were directed towards Bilkis Bano and not Mahinder Kaur, someone she said she didn't even know.

Dosanjh, a popular name in Punjabi films who shot to national fame with the 2016 drug drama Udta Punjab, in turn asked if she was a sycophant of everyone she has worked with. 'Then the list will be long,' he said.

'… These people aren't from Bollywood, they are from Punjab. You know how to lie and instigate people by playing with their emotions,' he added.

Asserting his Punjabi identity, Dosanjh said Ranaut, even as a woman, doesn't have the manners to talk to someone's mother or sister.

'Our mothers are god for us. You have stirred up a hornet's nest. Google the Punjabi.'

Diljit And Kangana

'Every word you say is like that, what do you want? They are like God for us. Did nobody teach you any etiquette of speaking? Punjabis will teach you how to speak to those who are elder to you,' he added.

And so it went on.

Responding to a tweet by Congress MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu, who has asked Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh to initiate FIRs against Dosanjh and singer Jazzy B among others for being 'Khalistani elements' hijacking the agitation,Ranaut said he was revealing the truth about 'terrorists'.

'… Sycophant and terrorists want to divide this country. They are dragging dadi without any reason to set their agenda. Shame on tukde gang...' she said.

In response, Dosanjh said it was she who stood to gain something here and everyone knew she was going to join politics.

Twitter Diljit Dosanjh

When Ranaut called Punjab 'the heart of the country' which needed to be rid of 'terrorists', Dosanjh said India was not hers alone.

He also accused Ranaut of trying to derail a peaceful protest.

Fellow singer Ranjit Bawa waded in with his view and said, 'We all love him. Sardars aren't anyone's slaves. We have come up on our own.'

Khurana, who featured on the last season of Bigg Boss, also replied to a tweet of Dosanjh and wrote that Ranaut had blocked both her and Bawa for calling her out.

'She blocked me, Ranjit Bawa but didn't block you Diljit... Because she wanted to pass that comment about Karan to you. Opportunist...' she wrote.

Thousands of farmers have gathered at Delhi's gateways to demand a repeal of the Centre's three new farm laws. The protesting farmers are worried the new laws will eliminate the safety cushion of a Minimum Support Price and procurement system, while rendering ineffective the mandi system that ensures earnings for various stakeholders in the farm sector.

The government has been in talks with farmer leaders to resolve the issue.
