Nintendo Switch Frozen Won't Turn On

  1. First, you need to remove the Joycons from your Nintendo Switch.
  2. If your Nintendo Switch is connected from a dock, remove it as well as the adapter charger.
  3. Now, charge your switch directly with the adapter charger and wait for about 10 to 15 minutes to get some just for boot up.
  4. Then turn off your switch by holding the power button for 12 seconds until the screen turns off.
  5. Remove the charging cable from your switch and wait for about 3 to 5 seconds to cool it down.
  6. Turn it on again by pressing the power button.
  7. Once it’s turned on, your switch should now proceed to the Home Screen and shows a reminder message saying it needs to be charged.
  8. Immediately charge your switch and it will now starts to increase its charging capacity.
  9. Done!

From now on, you’re good to go and your Nintendo Switch won’t go back to the Black Charging Screen – unless you decided deplete its battery again. Once it is at least 15% in charging capacity, you can put back the Joycons to your switch.
